now playing: last episode!

You have arrived at the site designated 'birdstems'.

birdstems is essentially my personal website to explore web design with for the sake of my projects, the latter of which involve designing characters, making the world a WORSE place (not actually), and writing stories, among other things.

this website is currently knee-deep in the woeful state of a wip. i plan to add a different page for my eventually-gallery, maybe a guestbook, and of course, an entirely different page format for my oc and worldbuilding things. aha. it's gonna take a while.

'birdstems' does not actually refer to anything other than birds.

not very fascinating for now

hi im kite i sometimes draw and sometimes am plagued with story thoughts. i like character development in stories, pink eyes (NOT pink eye), worldbuilding, miscellaneous jrpg, and petrichor. the website name may give it away, but i am many birds.

heres some images that do a btter job of describing me (and my interests) than words ever could

— personal projects

These are personal worldbuilding projects I make simply for the sake of making them. While I have had on-and-off thoughts about creating a game based on my stories, that future is a daydream at best. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy. Or don't. That's okay too.
    · What's In The BonesWhat's In The Bones, also known by its older name Quarks & Bones, involves all stories that take place on the planet of Avasmar, a high fantasy world with modern elements. Each story has a different purpose and vary in themes. Some might be about historic events that may or may not have been exaggerated, and others might be about cosmic horror and aliens. It's kind of an everything bagel in here. The period dictated as "11*+" retains the high fantasy worldbuilding, but solarpunk-flavored.
    · Clemendoria — Also set in Isogapra, Clemendoria is a mysterious planet whose extreme conditions make for toughened organisms. There are less stories I have set in Clemendoria due to it being newer compared to QNB, but it does delve a lot more into fantasy ecosystems.
